LAUVANE launches soon. This page describes the service as it works at launch. Until then we only keep the email addresses people give us for launch news.

LAUVANE wants everyone to be able to browse our site comfortably, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.

What we do

• Every page can be used with a keyboard, with visible focus.
• Text and controls meet contrast guidelines, and the site works when zoomed to 200%.
• Images of products carry text descriptions.
• Pages declare their language and direction, so screen readers read English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic and Farsi correctly.
• Animations respect your device's "reduce motion" setting.
• Forms label every field and explain errors in words.

Known limitations

• Product descriptions and photos come from retailers and the houses; some photos may have only a short description.
• Retailers' websites, where purchases are made, are outside our control; their own accessibility statements apply.
