How we make money

LAUVANE launches soon. This page describes the service as it works at launch. Until then we only keep the email addresses people give us for launch news.

LAUVANE is free to use. We earn money through affiliate links.

What that means

When you follow a "Shop at …" link from LAUVANE to a retailer and then buy something, that retailer may pay us a commission through an affiliate network (such as Rakuten Advertising, CJ, Awin, Impact, Partnerize, FlexOffers, Sovrn or Skimlinks) or its own partner program.

• Our link never changes the price. The retailer charges the same with or without it.
• The retailer is the seller. We do not sell, ship or handle payments; the retailer's terms apply to your purchase.
• How offers are ordered. The comparison lists every retailer serving your country by availability and price, cheapest first, marked “Best price”. The main “Shop at …” button may point to a retailer that pays us a higher commission, but only when its price is within 3% of the cheapest offer.
• Sponsored placements. Some pieces and houses appear in places labelled Sponsored: the house or retailer paid for that placement. Sponsored items are always labelled.
• Links to the houses' own websites may not earn anything at all.

How the link works

To be credited, the retailer needs to know you came from us. Our link passes a random click reference to the network; it contains no name, email or other personal information. The retailer or network may set its own cookie on its website, under its own privacy policy.

The same applies to links in our emails, texts and social posts. Questions: hello@lauvane.com.
